Duet choreographed and performed with Mia DiChiaro

Tracing² explores individual journeys intercepting one another and how the memory of relationships leave a lasting imprint after we separate. The choreography was initially developed while the dancers were living in two different countries, sharing footage of phrases which were interpreted, transcribed, and ultimately recombined with multiple “versions” being incorporated in the piece when the dancers reconvened. Movement images of symmetry and mirrored reflections support the connections between the dancers. The contrast of delicate and powerful is explored between the dancers and their physical environment, between their personal bodies and each other.
